Here are some milestones from Peter & Karins musical careers

Karin Burman

Karin Burman – singer, lyric writer/composer and vocal coach from south west of Sweden. As a vocalist Karin is recognized by her clear and wide -ranged voice, sound -wise quite far from her own musical sources of inspiration that mainly can be found within soul and r&b. Through the years Karin has been frequently engaged as a vocalist in different constellations, from trios to jazz orchestras. For some time she performed as singing bar pianist before she started leading her own quartet. In 2011 Karin released her first solo album with original songs, which she also produced.

Karin has been touring in Sweden and Scotland with drummer Martina Almgren and Scottish saxophonist Laura McDonald. Karin appears on two records with Martina.

In the early nineties Karin got a Masters degree in Music at Gothenburg University. At the school she met Peter Burman and they started writing music together. They made two albums and continued after that to work on separate projects. Almost twenty years later they took up writing together again. As CONST they have made an EP produced by Lenny White, released on Iyouwe Music in April 2020.

During the last years Karin has been involved in the education business. As a music teacher and vocal coach she is at a daily basis engaged in high school students musical development.

Peter grew up in the north of Sweden, the part of the country where snow covers the ground 8 months of the year and on summers the sun never sets. Before becoming a pianist and a composer Peter was a promising hockey -player, but music opened up a different path for him.
In the early nineties Peter started to collaborate with violinist and saxophonist Michal Urbaniak in New York. Here he met many exciting musicians which opened up many new points of view. Among others he started to work with the amazing singer Urszula Dudziak and also with the legend drummer Lenny White who he still is collaborating with.

Peter and Karin have been writing music together since 1993 and are also spouses. Through the years Peter has produced two vocal albums with Karin and three instrumental albums with different bands.
